You don’t get to take the moral high ground when you’re pointing a gun at somebody else’s head so you can get your way – no matter how great your way might seem.
Is libertarianism an “immoral” philosophy?
God has the right, to tell us what we may and may not do and indeed to force us not to do it—if he’s not willing to do that, how can anyone have the right to do it?
Either the statues stay or they go. You can’t do both. There can be no compromise. There is only one side imposing its will on the other.
The notion that voluntary societies won’t work because most people don’t believe in liberty is true. Our job is to help them embrace liberty.

Francis does not understand the core of libertarian thought. The libertarian philosophy does not preclude community, or even striving for “common good” – whatever that might be. Libertarians simply reject that idea that people armed with clubs and guns shouting orders at everybody else will create a peaceful, prosperous society.
Can we really have a virtuous society if violence, force and coercion serve as its driving force?
In a purely philosophical sense, the idea of Christian anarchy may not be possible. But if we view anarchy as merely a political arrangement, it fits together neatly with a Christian world-view.
