The God Whom I Serve

“He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” Isaiah 53:3
Imagine being all-powerful and yet full of grace. Imagine holding the world in the palm of your hand but not using violence and force. Imagine dying for those who despise you.
Jesus came into this world not to judge but to forgive. Not to condemn but to redeem. Not to destroy but to save.
This is the Lord whom I serve.
He is slow to anger and quick to give mercy and grace — even at his own expense.
For my fellow believers; know this. His character is love, grace, mercy and truth. Do not be so quick to judge your fellow man. Instead, be gracious. The greatest of all commandments is this: “Love Thy God and love thy neighbor.” Serve each other with a humble heart.
Do not preach to the hungry. Don’t cast out the sinners, embrace them. Serve them. Meet hate with love. This is how you show the power of Christ to your fellow man.
Blessed are the meek, for theirs is the kingdom of God.
